The Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of the Heart of Jesus was founded in Gozo, Malta in 1880. The Founder is Fr Joseph Diacono, while Mother Margherita De Brincat is the Co-Foundress. The London community forms part of the Maltese Province. Presently there are five religious sisters in the London community.
The aim of the Hostel is to offer accommodation to the Maltese patients who are sent for treatment in London by the Maltese Government and their relatives.
Every year hundreds of tourists from all over the World book their accommodation in this Hostel.
